Does your city have some of the best or the worst drivers behind the wheel? Since 2005, Allstate has released an annual report called "Allstate America's Best Drivers ReportTM" that ranks America's 200 largest cities in terms of car collision frequency to identify which cities have the safest drivers.
Each year, Allstate rewards a city for its safe driving with a free gas giveaway. For the fifth anniversary of the Best Drivers report, Allstate decided to look back to 2005 to determine which city has shown the most improvement. This year's top honor goes to Alexandria, VA. According to the report, on average, drivers in Alexandria will experience an auto collision every 7.2 years, an improvement of 1.8 years since 2005. See coverage from this year's gas giveaway.
